«CONQUERING
THE BODY,
THE SPACE,
THE TERRITORY»
What happens to the
diverse bodies
we displace to
the margins?
To be aware of one’s own capacity for political action.
To transform all the questions into movement.
One’s own and other people’s views.
The limits of desire and the dictatorship of the body as an object of desire.
To lose the fear of the Other and to meet him, inhabiting the scenic and political space.
Crossing borders insofar as we take charge of the value of difference as artists (ephemeral or constant), and taking charge of the value of difference and the occupation of territory.
To take charge of the intimate and, once that battle is won, to value the power of the private in the common space.
Y llegar hasta la Luna (And reaching the moon) is an experiment based on beauty and freedom.
Y LLEGAR HASTA LA LUNA (2021)
Y llegar hasta la Luna (And reaching the moon) is a documentary theatrical piece born from the own experiences and some questions around sex, violence and functional diversity that were put into play in the process of creation and research hosted by the Centro Dramático Nacional within the #Reto2019 program with an inclusive cast led by María San Miguel, accompanied by Alba Muñoz.
This play is the result of a documentary research process that starts from their own experiences, the weight of words and the relations of the body with the space, from the intimate to the public. A journey in search of freedom and to give visibility to both the diverse and the new constructions of social relations that overcome peacefully and inclusively all the violence that make up our context.
During the creation and exploration process we worked around the questions:
- Is sex still a taboo subject?
- Are we able to overcome the patterns that patriarchy has established regarding sex?
- What place does porn have in our desires, fantasies and relationships?
- Do women enjoy the same as men in their relationships?
- Do we consider each Other’s pleasure?
- How much violence have we become accustomed to in our sexual experiences?
- How does physical or intellectual functional diversity affect the relationship with sexuality and its development?
